Microneedling · October 2026

Yes — for the right kind of scarring, microneedling is one of the better-evidenced treatments there is. But “yes” on its own is the answer that leads to disappointment, so here is the fuller version.
Acne scars are areas where the skin healed with too little collagen, leaving a dip. Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels, and the skin’s repair response lays down new collagen in and around those dips. Over months, the floor of the scar lifts and the edges soften.
That is why it is slow. You are asking the skin to rebuild, and rebuilding takes time.
Significant improvement, not removal. Scars become shallower and catch the light less, so skin looks smoother in daylight and in photographs. Complete removal is not a realistic promise from microneedling — or, honestly, from most treatments.
For scarring, a course is the honest recommendation rather than an upsell. That usually means three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, sometimes more for deeper scarring, with the full result around three months after the last. Most people notice better texture and glow after the first session; the structural change comes later.
A single session is €180. A course of three standard sessions is €540, and a course of three with mesotherapy is €600 rather than €750 paid separately. Single-session prices are on our pricing page; for course pricing, send us a DM on Instagram.
Expect redness like mild sunburn for 24–48 hours, then light flaking around days three to five. Most people are back at work the next day; the skin is fully settled within about a week.
We will not treat active acne, an active cold sore or skin infection, or skin that has had isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the last six months. If breakouts are still happening, the first job is getting them under control — treating scars while new ones are forming is the wrong order.
Darker skin types can be treated safely, but need a more conservative approach because of the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation. That is a conversation, not a refusal.
Scars vary enormously, and nobody can tell you how yours will respond from a photograph. A consultation is where we look properly, tell you which of your scars are likely to improve and which are not, and plan a course only if it is worth doing.
No. It can significantly improve rolling and shallow boxcar scarring over a course, so scars look shallower and smoother, but complete removal is not a realistic promise.
Usually a course of three, spaced four to six weeks apart, and sometimes more for deeper scarring. The full result shows around three months after the last session.
Ice-pick scars are narrow and deep, and they often need a different approach. We will assess them honestly and tell you if microneedling is unlikely to reach them.
Not while acne is active. We also will not treat skin that has had isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the last six months. Getting breakouts under control comes first.
A single session is €180. A course of three standard sessions is €540, and a course of three with mesotherapy is €600 rather than €750 paid separately.
