Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine in Ireland. That means a qualified prescriber must assess you and prescribe for you individually. In a lot of settings the prescriber and the injector are different people, and the prescriber may never meet you. At Lumina, Dr Tafadzwa — a practising medical doctor — consults, prescribes and injects. One person, start to finish, with the medical training to recognise when something is not right and to manage it.
Lumina is deliberately small. Appointments are spaced so you have the place to yourself; there is no shared waiting area and no shop floor to walk through. In a part of the county where people know each other, that discretion is often the deciding factor — and it is one of the things a city-centre clinic genuinely cannot offer you.
