Lumina Aesthetics is a doctor-led medical aesthetics clinic at Drominaclara, Pallaskenry, Co. Limerick, V94 324R, Ireland. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, Lumina Aesthetics is the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, provided when you book or enquire.
• Medical information — your medical history, medications, allergies, previous treatments and any relevant health conditions, taken at consultation. This is special category data under GDPR and is treated with additional protection.
• Treatment records — what was assessed, prescribed and performed, including products, dosages and batch numbers.
• Clinical photographs — before-and-after images taken as part of your clinical record.
• Booking and payment — handled through our online booking provider. We do not store your card details.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide safe medical care — assessing suitability, prescribing, treating and reviewing. Legal basis: provision of health care under Article 9(2)(h) GDPR.
• To meet our legal and professional obligations — including the record-keeping duties of a registered medical practitioner. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• To contact you about your appointment, aftercare or review. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Marketing — only ever with your clear, separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Your photographs and records stay internal

Everything collected in the clinic — your notes, your history and your clinical photographs — is held for your care and our internal clinical processes. It is not published, sold or shared for marketing.

The only exception is where you have given separate, specific, written consent for an image to be used publicly, for example in a before-and-after gallery. That consent is always optional, is never a condition of treatment, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. Without it, your images never leave your record.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary: with our online booking provider, with a pharmacy or prescriber where required to dispense a prescription-only medicine, with your GP or another clinician if you ask us to or if your safety requires it, and with insurers or regulators where we are legally obliged to.

How long we keep it

Medical records are retained in line with the professional and legal requirements that apply to medical practitioners in Ireland. Contact details held purely for marketing are deleted as soon as you withdraw consent.

How we protect it

Records and clinical photographs are stored securely, and access is limited to those who need it to provide your care.

This website

This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies, and it does not build a profile of you. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser when a page loads. Links to Instagram, TikTok, Google Maps and our booking system take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure (subject to our legal duty to retain medical records), to restrict or object to certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
